KiYK is dedicated to offering Motor & Diesel Mechanics Trades & Occupations Qualification Programmes. KiYK has Full Qualification Programmes, as well as skills Programmes, offered continuously throughout the year.

Based in Hatfield, Pretoria, the Academy aims to provide innovative technical training solutions under the automotive space, employing the incubation model for specialization to qualify the graduate/Learner.

Education in South Africa is intended to be accessible to everyone. Many existing TVETs & FETs certify Learners and do not seem to guarantee any source of employment at the tenure of a rigorous 36 months making the programmes uncompetitive and unsustainable. Automotive Training Programmes

Pretty Hands

A women empowerment course that educates on car maintenance. This is an 8-hour programme that covers the very basics of vehicle checks and maintenance.

Car Maintenance Stage 1, 2 & 3

Designed to equip the learner with basic skills to carry out checks and minor service on the vehicle. The duration of the course depends on the stage.

Artisan Motor Mechanic (RPL)

Designed to equip semi-skilled mechanics with knowledge and skills leading to Motor. Diesel Trade Qualification.

KiYK K.E.Ys – Motor Industry Needs This

KiYK recognises the macro and microeconomic challenges preventing many young and old citizens from accessing education and seeks to provide the K.E.Y that can alleviate these challenges whilst bridging the unemployment gap to the African continent. Aligning with the country’s National Development Goals, KiYK sees the importance of developing Specialization & Incubation among qualified technicians and artisans. The incubation programme kicks off with an elementary diagnosis of the candidate through a pre-assessment tool that includes both technical and practical questions. The strengths and capabilities of the candidate are managed through Business mentorship and coaching methods, accelerating the candidate into their preferred Specialization pathway.

SMME WORKSHOPS (ARPL Programme) KiYK offers Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning to all experienced Motor Industry personnel that do not have Motor Qualifications and recognisable certificates. Short Skills programmes to keep Technicians and Artisans up to date with Technological Changes through Upskilling and Refresher programmes.

Entrepreneur (New Venture Creation) Through established Partnerships, KiYK provides working and proven Entrepreneurial models to the South African Youth and Motor industry SMME’s. The incubation programme kicks off with an elementary diagnosis of the candidate through a pre-assessment tool that includes both technical and practical questions. The strengths and capabilities of the candidate are managed through mentorship and coaching methods, accelerating the candidate into their preferred and promising specialization pathway.
